New version of Contact Form 7 not working in IE8

  • I am running the newest wordpress 2.9 and the latest Contact Form 7 updated 1/31/10

    Ajax just spins and will not send in IE-8 etc…

    Checked html markup but nothing pointing to javascript errors etc..

    I’ve used this on many other sites and never had this problem…

    Works in all other browsers…

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    I’ve done all three…

    The only thing I can point to is both the plugin and the wordpress are running on brand new updates…

    This is super frustrating… its not working at all in IE… it just spins and spins when you try to submit the form.

    FYI.. installed Tiny Contact Forms instead and it works… until Contact 7 gets this worked out
