New users not showing up in Mailchimp

    I have checked the forum and can’t find an answer to this problem.
    I am using Elementor with the Hello theme and Mailchimp.
    I’ve set up the MC4WP plugin and connected it successfully to Mailchimp with the API key.
    I’m using Elementor’s built in form to Subscribe visitors to the Newsletter in the Footer. I’m only asking for Email address.
    I can add an email address, press subscribe and I get success messages, plus emails, but the subscriber is not showing up anywhere in Mailchimp.
    I’ve used multiple different email addresses and an external visitor subscribed, but still nothing appears in Mailchimp.
    The Mailchimp settings seem correct – field mapping etc and double Opt-in is switched off.
    Any help gratefully received.

    The form in your site footer is not a form that is created in our plugin. I doubt that form is in any way connected to our plugin.

    I recommend you replace that form with a new form you create via our plugin, or ask for support from the theme developer who created the form that you currently have in place.
