new user registration email sent even though don’t want it to

Hi,
I often manually add users to my site. I often don’t want them to immediately receive the login details so I deactivate the option in the new users page to send them an email.
However, WPUM overrides this and sends an email anyway. The only way I can stop it is by deactivating the option to send a new registration confirmation email in the “Emails” section.
