• No, I don’t want to use the plugin fix for this as it doesn’t work anyway.

    WP not only sends email as user “WordPress” which is unsuitable, but it also creates a fictitious user @ web site, so anyone replying to that email will get bounced email and think that we are idiots. I own the domain but not the mail service which has been let out to another ISP.

    So I need to fix the code responsible for this, and need to know where to start looking.

    If WP is worried about losing possible publicity because their name will be weeded out, please note that I have recently been plugging the WP solution to my favourite online group which consists of more than 800 software developers, most of which need the functions and plugins available in WP.

    Any help in finding the offending code will be appreciated.
