I’m wanting to try using this plugin, to enable event data to be entered once (on FB) and displayed on our website. I’ve added the plugin and configured a feed “EventsFeed” as Type Page, Owner and Othes, Timeline, page URL, etc

However when I create a page with the relevant shortcode on, or add the widget (selecting my feed by name), I can’t get anything to appear. I’m not using an AppID and Secret, these appear to be optional – at the FB end I haven’t managed to get these created for my page anyway.

If I set the Status to Published =NO I get “There is no facebook feed or it was deleted”, Published = “Yes” shows nothing at all..but they are published events on FB.

Am I doing something wrong in the config of the feed ?
Using “Blessing” theme – which has the ThemeMakes Visual Content Composer plugin included.

    Hi,

The cause of the issue is maybe the conflict with the theme that you are using. (Though previously we have not received any other reports about the issue with this theme)

I have tried to install and test but only the paid version is available.

Could you please try to change the theme of the webpage to see whether the issue may occur with some other theme too?

If the issue will be solved inform us and we will try to fix the issue.

    Thanks. Have a nice day.

    Thank you.
I did this on a separate “test” website…and actually without thinking updated WP to the latest version 4.9.4 too. There it seems to work with 2017 Theme and still again with Blessing Theme – so maybe I have my answer.
A little worried that a WP upgrade might constantly be necessary to keep the plug-in working (i.e. no backward compatibility). Is that what you’d expect? I am a little behind on “Production” at WP 4.6.10.

Also, can I then go on to play with customisation of the free plug-in or am I then forced to pay. I’d like to limit the feed to true calendar events and even display a calendar page of that’s possible.

I’ve updated the Production website to WP 4.9.4 and can now see the feed in a very basic version.

    Hi,

Is there any styling issue? Could you please provide few more details about the “very basic version”?

Regarding the update, please note that it is highly recommended to update the plugin. In the case you do not want to update then the best suggestion can be not to update the other plugins too so that there are no issues/conflicts, in the case of the very old WPs, the conflicts may arise.

Please note that the plugin is open source and you can make the modifications as you wish.

    Thanks. Have a nice day.

I think its got better as I’ve used it and widened the “host” page.

Could you show me a demo page of posted Facebook Events (dated and timed) in both list form and Calendar grid form ? to help with the decision over the upgrade.

I was struggling to get it looking good in a footer widget.

https://astad.org/facebook-feed-test/# – which has the current Events list on.
My current Calendar page which I’d like to replicate with the plug-in.
