new user get status of writer

    i want every new user to be asigned status of writer so that he /she can wrtie in any partular category …..

    and further his every post doesnot apear on blog until and unles it is aproved by an admin ….

  • When you checked your admin > Users > Authors and Users panel you probably noticed there is no role called “Writer”.

    Also, while being in the admin panel you can go > Options > General and find the “New User Default Role” filed. Set it to “Contributor”.

    They will be able to write a post (as a Draft) but not to publish. You’ll have to approve them for publishing.
