New user comes up blank and with ‘none’ role

  • I have many WP installations and never faced issues with user creation – until now. In one of them (and I have not made any changes) suddenly I can’t create any new users any more. If I add a new user, there is no error message, but in the end the user does not get added, but instead it just shows a blank entry for the name and email etc. and role is ‘none’.

    I tried 3 times, so now got 3 blank users, but can’t create the one I need. Also this blank user cannot be deleted any more.

    I contacted my hosting support, they say the installation and database is all right, I also checked the permissions, they are ok, too.

    Would much appreciate if someone could help, thanks a lot in advance.
