    Hi appcuarium

New user here, and looking forward to getting your plugin working as it looks to be the best around.

I’ve added the shortcode to a page, and I get nothing showing at all. There do not seem to be any JS errors or messages in the browser console that might explain this.

    [alfie_wp_weather woeid="2268295" country=0 condition=0 units="c" automatic_location=0]

I have been through your support page, and I guess it might be this issue :

You should enable allow_url_fopen in your server configuration, as it is needed by Alfie WP Weather to get the info from Yahoo.

I am the webdev without server/cPanel access, so is there any way round this ?

Also, other weather plugins seem to use Yahoo! API and they are displaying OK on my site (eg: Weather Layer)

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Could you post a link back to your install, so we can have a look?

    Thanks.

    Best regards.

Thanks for your quick reply, appcuarium.

I’ve added it back to a test page here, with the shortcode between the two HR.

Any more questions, I’m happy to help.

    Hi,

It looks like the plugin is not loaded. Could you check if it is installed/enabled?

    Best regards.

Apologies, appcuarium – I was just doing some other trouble-shooting and needed to disable all my plugins.

    It’s re-enabled again now.

    Hi appcuarium

I’m happy to help troubleshoot, if we can both coincide some online time ! ??

    Hi,

You could add a it to a test page and block that page from being crawled by spiders, in robots.txt. Then we could have the time to look for the error thrown in your install.

    Best regards.

    Thanks for your quick reply.

    I’ve re-created the test page

Note the shortcode exists as text, followed by the actual code in square brackets as usual.

(Apologies in advance if I’ve done something stupid !)
