new user account not creating the blog

  • I have tried a number of times to install wp with multisite, and each time I am unable to create new blogs with user accounts.

    It goes through the process, with emails being sent out to say the account and blog has been set up, but whenever I access the blog URL, it just gives me a ‘Not Found’ page.

  • I’m having the same issue while creating the 3rd site. Second site is working wonderfully but when I create the third one, I’m coming to a same page. Wonder why that is.

    I’m not sure on that one, possibly something to do with the mapping?

    I’ve been using MU for a while now and haven’t had this problem previously.

    I figured out why mine was not working.

    I had a subdomain still listed on my main site and it was conflicting with one created in the Multisite in WordPress. I removed the one that existed before from the cpanel and tada! its working again.
