New Uploads Folder Not Created

I just moved my site from a test folder to the root. Almost everything is working smoothly. I updated the absolute URL of the posts so my images would display. I also made a few test changes to WP Admin and then checked my database to make sure the changes are there. All looks good. Now I’m trying to add a new piece of media and having problems. The upload appears to work fine. A window with the name of the image and its URL appears. A thumbnail of the image never appears under the Media Library though. I see a listing/line item for the image, but it doesn’t display a picture. I tried the upload a few times with various images. I noticed that the URL for today’s images includes 2009 and 10 for October. No such file path exists in my root folder though. I have folders for 09 and 08, but 10 isn’t being automatically created.

Have I missed an update of a config file somewhere? Anyone had this problem? Thank you!
