    /wordpress 2.1.3 Upgrade to 2.2

Hi I have my wordpress under fantasico under Bluehost, along with some other php things like ‘ moodle and a message board.

My question is this…everytime I upgraded one of my other folders it completely eliminated all the plugins, add ons or MODS that I had .

If I use the automatic button…to automatically upgrade to the new 2.2 ….this is where I do nothing but hit a button and fantasico does all the upgrades. If I do this will I loose ALL the plugins?

If so I do not want to upgrade. I have a different template and quite a few plugins.

    THANKS
    J

  • @root: I’d be interested in knowing what you find problematic with Fantastico installs. Frankly, I find the ones I use far superior to just using the install.php url – I get the option to set my own specific admin username and password, for instance, rather than being stuck with “Admin” and an auto-generated password.

I am obsessive as well. I am just not into wasting time doing something with a “hand tool” when the results with my “power tool” is exactly the same or better.

But I am still open to hearing what’s wrong with Fantastico.
