New update to the plugin cause several problems:
    1. Errors started appear in Search Console. Categories I blocked out now appear in the sitemap, therefore causing issues in Search Console.
    2. A post I have deleted in the past, for some reason appears in the sitemap.

I have seen the solution. Editing a theme functions file is less user friendly than as it was before. Why did you guys reduced the usability?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    • Please, make sure that the categories you have blocked are set to noindex to ensure they won’t appear in the sitemap.
    • If you see a deleted post URL in the XML sitemap, can you please disable and enable the XML sitemap feature directly from the Yoast SEO -> Dashboard -> Features (tab) to check whether this resolves the issue? If the issue persists, please make sure that haven’t set the old post URL in any of your posts or pages as the canonical URL.
    • From Yoast SEO v7.0, we automatically exclude all the noindex items from the sitemap as having noindex URLs in the sitemap doesn’t make any sense and causes the issue for beginner users.
