    Hi,
Saw the theme update notification and updated it and it went trough OK but style and layout of the pages have changed after the update. All ruined.

I am using Wp-Starter as child theme so all my custom CSS should not effect anything.

For instance, the search button has gone wonky. See link for preview
    https://colofwhousing.com.au/online/wp-content/uploads/wp-forge-update-6-error.png

And the orbit slider stopped working (this slider was built on ZURB’s Foundation for Sites (Foundation 6.2)). Now I had to restore the theme to previous version.

So those of you who are about to update, i would recommend you to wait a bit longer.. ??

    Hey there,

Sorry the update broke your theme, however, I never released a v6.2 until yesterday, so I don’t know how you did your orbit slider.

I did mention that WP-Forge 6.2 would break your site in my post located here and I gave everyone who uses WP-Forge a chance to download 6.2 before it went live so they could test it to see how it worked with any sites they developed.

Did you download a copy of 6.2 and test before you updated? Probably not.

I updated my site ThemeAwesome.com and the only layout discrepancies I encountered were the the information boxes I had that used the old block grid layout.

This is probably why your layout broke.

If you used the 6.2 for the orbit slider, why didn’t you use everything else in 6.2 for your site?

Hi, thanks for the quick reply.

I use the slider same as this website. [https://demo.learndash.com/] as I am using their plugin and i have duplicated the Demo LearnDash site as per their instruction and all is working fine. So whatever in that site has done the slider, that’s what I use. ??

No. I do not test as I have faith in you. ?? probably should not have. ??

I think some bullet point button formats were changed too.
Also, “alert-box info radius” box color has disappeared too.

What I meant was, i was using orbit slider in previous version and after the upgrade, all sliders show up one slider after another.

Hope this info helps to identify to fix the upgrade version.

    Thanks.

I am not affiliated with Learndash in anyway and have not given them any copy of 6.2 not only that but I never made a 6.2 version available for testing, other than this weekend.

So I believe, that the version you had was not 6.2 but an previous version, ergo this is the reason your site broke.

If I were you, I would contact Learndash and ask when they updated the theme.

And you can always have faith in me and WP-Forge. I never release a version that will completely blow up peoples sites. I worked over 4 months on version 6.2 to ensure everything worked as it should.

Also you need to remember that Foundation for sites was completely rewritten from the ground up.

Also the upgrade isnt broke amigo ??

    Kool,

I wasn’t saying that you are affiliated with LearnDash. They use your theme and they know how to insert slider in the old version and sliders were working so, settings must be ok. Since the upgrade on my site, it broke. So it has to do with the new version and slider conflict??

Thanks amigo! I will ask LearnDash and see what they can do about it ??

    Have a gr8 day! ??

I know you didn’t say I was affiliated, I was just informing you ??

Well I know one thing is for certain, if the layout broke and the slider started working, then the theme they gave you was not built with Foundation for sites, it was built with an older version of Foundation.

I hope they can fix it for you.

    Hi,
Me again.. Still trying to sort out the layout format problem on my page.

In the new update, (not that I know huge amount of details) did you remove the foundation slider section?

After I have read and researched, its to do with the foundation slider section and on the foundation website, Orbit slider has been deprecated (although they said they have left it in the system and not totally removed). So wondering if you have removed slider coding section in your new version???

In my current website front page, i have setup orbit sliders (see attached below example)

    https://colofwhousing.com.au/online/wp-content/uploads/wp-forge-update-6-error3.jpg

Then after the WP-FORGE upgrade, all bullet points have been treated as normal html bullet point instead of sliders. See below.

    https://colofwhousing.com.au/online/wp-content/uploads/wp-forge-update-6-error4.jpg

    Does it make sense?
Thanks again for your time and patient.
    Cheers.

    Amigo,

Please understand, all I did was use the code provided by Foundation.

They REWROTE everything. They depreciated orbit in f5 but brought it back in f6. From what I understand, they even rewrote that as well.

All I did was copy and paste what they provided and I adjusted some css for the top bar menu and they off canvas menu, nothing else.

So if orbit is acting weird, then I would suggest you visit the foundation forums and see if anyone else is experiencing the same issue.

I apologize for any inconvenience their code may be causing.

    Hi,
Ok I have emailed to foundation forum about my issues.

Meantime, I created a new site from scratch and installed WP-FORGE (version 5.5.3) and WP-Starter as child-theme (active). And the page is set as default and no extra gadget plugins installed. Just plain vanilla. And works great. See working condition below.

    Preview
    https://www.hbpc.org.au/wp-content/uploads/before-original-view.jpg
    Nicely lined up.
    https://www.hbpc.org.au/wp-content/uploads/before-wp-forge621-stretched2.jpg
    Bottom of the page.
    https://www.hbpc.org.au/wp-content/uploads/before-wp-forge621-stretched1.jpg

Then, I upgraded to current version 6.2.1. And the screen is stretched (expanded) to both sides of the screen. See example below.

    Top of the page.
    https://www.hbpc.org.au/wp-content/uploads/after-wp-forge621-stretched2.jpg
    Bottom of the page.
    https://www.hbpc.org.au/wp-content/uploads/after-wp-forge621-stretched1.jpg

So not sure what’s going on here. Can you think of anything? As I said, I have not modified anything.

Hope you can find solution for me as I have quite a few sites that I use WP-Forge, waiting to be upgraded to 6.2.1.

    Cheers,

    Hey there…yet again,

Can you provide a link to the site in question? The one you just set up and maybe create an account for me so I can log in and take a look?

If not, then I can’t help you and I will have this closed.

    Let me know.

I think you misunderstood me amigo, I asked for a link to see the issues you sent via images in the post above.

I see that you adjusted the site via the customizer the way you were supposed to, so I do not see what the problem is or what you expect me to do amigo.

Yes I got your email, so what are you expecting me to do?
