New Update – Lack of Customization

  • Since updating WP-Live Chat to the latest version, the chat box has lots all customization and I cannot restore it. The chat box used to be perfectly branded to fit to our site. Not the font is off and changes based on browser, the logo is small and everything is square compared to the nice rounded look it had before.

    How can I change the look of this like we had before? I have already exhausted all “customization” options in the settings panel.

    Hi there,

    Unfortunately the old 8.x plugin had to be scrapped and re-written. As an initial release, we’ve tried our best to keep our chatbox & customizations as similar as possible to the old plugin.

    The customer & agent chat UI is something we’re working on for the next release of the plugin as we are aware that they need some extra work. We are aware both about the font issue and the rounded look and we’re working on these for the next release which will take some time.

    You can use the old plugin by downloading it from here near the bottom of the page:

    It’s still useable and has not been discontinued. We first need to make sure everyone is satisfied with the quality with the new plugin before the old one gets discontinued.

    Any more feedback you have is welcome. We’re currently collecting feedback from all users and addressing issues and planning for feature requests.

    Thank you! I am uploading the old version now. We will all be happy to have the plugin functioning (and appearing) normally again.
