• This used to be a great plugin. But with the last 3 updates they have lost the complete objective.. Seriously looking for an alternative without causing anymore damage ! Stay away from the Free one !

    Hi Joost

I didnt think that any one from your team would actually reply here. So firstly very impressed that you have taken the time to read the comment and respond.Your free version that I have used from almost the start of the plugin has been an amazing help over the years with all the Google Updates. Even though the Free version has many features which many of us dont use. I am sure all your clients will agree that the most important feature of the plugin is the Title and Meta Description boxes. I have 2 major problems with the new updates – 1. It has actually become a lot harder to change the the title, description and url ( call me old fashioned ) – it was working perfectly before ! And like my Dad used to always say – if it aint broke – dont fix it ! 2. This is probably – me expecting a bit too much ; I completely realise that Google over writes the description but surely you being you should have some kind of antidote for that. That is one thing that I have been eagerly waiting for in your updates. Having said that so far you have done an excellent job and thank you for your work and letting us use your plugin.

1: I understand that people find it harder. I’d like to work on improving it but I’m not 100% sure what makes it harder other than the fact that we changed it. We had to change it as otherwise the real time feedback couldn’t be on the same page (it’d be invisible when you’re typing) and we felt that was way too important. Also, if we get the snippet editor right, it should be *more* intuitive, not less.

2: I wish, seriously wish, we could help there. I’ve been asking this thing of many Googlers for ages, but no, it’s not, ever, going to happen it seems.

    Finally:

Having said that so far you have done an excellent job and thank you for your work and letting us use your plugin.

Thank you. Does that sound like a 1 star review to you? ??

    Hi @easywebireland,

Almost a year has passed since your review. Are you still using our plugin? If not, we’ve made a ton of changes to Yoast SEO and would like to invite you to give the plugin a new try.

If you want to learn more about the plugin before installing it, we feel our knowledge base is the best place to start.

    Thanks!
