So I was hesitant to update since it said the whole accounting module was rewritten. But I did it today and not a single trasactions was brought over into the update, we had roughly 580 expenses entered in. We did a backup prior to updating in case this happened but is there a way to bring in the old transactions into the new system or do we just need to roll back?

I dont see in the “Tools” section a way to import or export any accounting info

    Thanks

  • Hello @stewartlab

We have provided a migrator with the latest updates. So, if someone updates from an older version, it should ask to run the migrator. Have you somehow missed to migrate the data?

In case you missed the migration and closed the migration notice, it needs to be done manually from the database in that case. I’d request you to contact our support center directly from our website. Our support team will try all the possible ways to migrate your previous data.

    Thanks

No, it asked me to run the migrator and I ran it. All the vendors transferred over fine from what I could tell, but none of the transactions/expenses were there. I did not check the database to see if they were present. Also when attempting to make a new transaction/expense in the vendor dropdown every single vendor was in white text so you couldn’t read the vendor, this could have possibly been a theme related issue but I was not going to diagnose further.

I have since rolled back to 1.4.6 since I needed to use the software in its previous functioning state.

    Hello @stewartlab

If you are okay with the previous version, you can go with it but we can help you to migrate if you can contact our support center using our contact form.

    Thanks
