The same critical error here with WordPress v5.3.2 php 7.3.
After deactivation it cannot be activated anymore:

Please download the ZIP of the plugin again and copy it to the server. Does this help?

Thank you @marcelismus , the problem is solved by downloading the plugin and copying it to the server in FTP.

After uploading wp-appbox to the plugin folder on my server it is working again. Thank You!

It isn’t working!

The plugin could be activatetd, but as soon as I write a shortcode I’m getting an error and it is not shown (correctly) on my site.

Please downgrade to the old version!

I can’t reproduce an error, it’s on the test blog. What shortcode? What error?
