New update and a lot of fun.

    after the last update plugin option was not available, i’ve turned on and off the and they come back with a lot of surprise.
    I have 23 websites with this plugin on and i’ve spent hours to figure out how to have it working properly and to translate it with WPML.
    With the last update everything is completly gone.

    Apart from this huge damage (23 client that are calling me during the weekend..that’s really a lot of fun) the last version is completly unusable and full of bugs.

    There’s typo everywhere in almost all fields in the plugin admin area and it’s not possible to correct and save them (save doesn’t work anymore). I was not able to move the bubble (that is now bigger) to another position for the same reason..press save nothing happen.
    In some of your admin pages it render without SSL (all my website are SSL).
    All this stuff was discovered in the last hour but i think the surprises are going to make this list more long, but i prefer to stop here.

    So the point is..are you going to fix this ASAP or you’ll continue to ignore this support forum?
    BTW i’ve tried also to talk with the support on the main website and the operator told me that they’re not giving support for this plugin in there and to write here (where nobody reply).

    Switched back to the old version all 23 website. Waiting for a fix.

    Also the old version died..error 500 and continous refresh.

    We just released an update for the plugin (version 9.0.3) which contains fix for the issue which was responsible for bugs in functionalities, like them referred in your post.

    We recommend you to update to the latest version.

    I’ve created a Staging without any plugin apart your. Still unusable, still typo everywhere with 9.03 (we use è à ù in italian), still “Guest” waiting to be connected with an operator but nothing happen on the Operator dashboard.
    My main problem now it’s 23 websites with owner that bark at me and ask me to find a fast solution that i don’t have.

    the new update added a 500 error too that was not there before, and your dashboard goes without SSL in various tabs..can you please switch back to the old one (that worked perfectly till last week and now it’s dead)..there’s something really wrong in the last update and restyling (you changed all the classes and function without thinking to a transition for people like me that used your plugin in dozen of website) that maybe you can fix it with more time before switch to public.
    Had to switch off the chat system everywhere cause it was impossible to work with all this errors.

    Sending you a screenshot of the console maybe this can help.
    On this staging i’ve turned all off and switched to Wp Twenty Twenty.
    No luck(you can check yourself it’s the website where i put the screenshot).

    Hi there,

    We’ve just released 9.0.4 that fixes the issue with special characters. Unfortunately any fields that previously had special characters will need to be reviewed and corrected if needed.

    For the moment until we can stabilize the plugin further i suggest you switch back to version 8.2.0 that you can download from the main plugin page > Advanced.

    No problem for the text to re-enter.
    I’ve tested the new version on a staging and now it works.
    I’m still not receiving the notification sounds till i go to the dashboard but i’m receiving a message in my inbox about incoming chat also if that option is disable in the dashboard settings, but in this case this bugs help in some ways.

    Start chat with a clic function is gone (so i need to edit 330×23 website pages for fix that).

    The main problem is that all the css i’ve writed to integrate the chat style with the website it’s unusable, and it’s a pain in the ass to solve this cause the code it’s really dirty (for example the icon it’s called with a function and there’s a few dead css brances left from the old code, so it’s like a labirith and it takes time to develop what i need..why don’t you use standard classes for each element as everyone is doing from at least 10 years?). I understand that the plugin was old and had given a lot of problems in the past and needed a rebranding and a lot of fix, but having continuity it’s a key point in wordpress plugin developing.

    So as you told me i’m staying on version 8.2 and i’ll continue to look at the developing of version 9 on a staging site. I hope this time you will get in touch with WPML to finally give us full compatibility (that was the problem where i lost really a lot of time). The guys in there are really open to help you to fix the compatibility (they already done it for me with version 8.2).
