New Topic sends no email, Reply Comment sends email

  • Hi, We really recently updated to 3.9.2. The migration process was successful. We have the following issue.

    1. All users in the Group have “All Emails” set.
    2. A user adds New Topic, no emails are sent to any members of the group.
    3. A different user replies to the topic, and email is sent out to the group.

    We have checked the “wp_bpges_queued_items” table and it has many records, all seem to be the initial Topic started.

    Hi Ethan – Thanks for the report.

    Have a look at wp_bpges_subscriptions – are you seeing your legacy subscriptions there? The fact that all group members have ‘All Email’ makes me think that they didn’t properly migrate.

    The items in wp_bpges_queued_items – do they have the ‘immediate’ type? Are you able to check your access logs for self-pings that might indicate that the batch-process mail routine failed?

    Hi, thanks for your reply. Inserted below are the tables. Its weird that a user can reply to a topic, and then the email works. But not when someone creates the topic.

    Which access logs should i be checking? We tried to put logging on for this plugin, but it isnt working. Below is our settings in the wp-config.php file for the logging.
