New to WP – seeking to add dropdown list on sidebar

  • HI All,

    I am very new to WP, and trying to get into it. I bought a site template and using it to try and get to grips with WP, or learn a little at least, and hopefully use it as a CMS. I have a site here, I’d like to add some functionality such as a dropdown listing on the right hand side so I can post an archive of Newsletters (pdf) files. Does anyone have any advice they can offer?

    Additionally, I wondered how I could change the background of the main text area as, as you can appreciate, the image files posted look weird with their white backgrounds. This is such a great thing to play with, but a good learning process….
