New to WP – LOVE it – but have one question about sidebar

  • I am BRAND NEW to WP and I have a question that may seem really silly but i just don’t know the answer.

    I have a test blog I’m working with before it goes live. I’m working on the design and there is a picture over on my right sidebar(right above my welcome picture) that I did not put there. I don’t see anywhere that I can delete it. How can I get this off my page?

  • It’s simply a sample image as part of the Thesis theme, in the css it’s call the multimedia box.. assuming of course that you can put anything in there you want. (in sidebar 1)

    Thanks! I still don’t know how to get rid of it. It shows on my blog but doesn’t show up behind the scenes in my design area. I see sidebar 1 and sidebar 2 but nothing shows that I can delete.

    It’s probably a feature you’re intended to use with the theme. On your dashboard is there anything that hints as a rotator? Look through your options under Appearance, Settings and Plugins to see if it’s there.
