I am having similar issues. I am new to all of this. My site is gotaband.com. I want to put WordPress on gotaband.com/blog. However, I can’t figure out how to do that. /blog is a page and I can’t add the script there?????

Where have you installed your wordpress directory in relation to your subdomain?

For example, my domain is https://www.exit-23.net. My subdomain is nmallory.exit-23.net. I have wordpress installed in a subdirectory under nmallory’s home directory.

This is what my file list looks like:
_borders
_fpclass
_private
_themes
images
wordpress
blogs.htm
calendar.htm
classifieds.htm
front.htm
index.htm

I would like WordPress to come up as my blogs page.

gotager2 – I’m fairly sure you have to use a php file. You can’t use .htm or .html to run WordPress.

to gotager2 – nmallory is right. WP is predominantly .php files. So maybe learn some .php first??

i don’t know any php, but i installed and troubleshoot wordpress just fine.

i think the problem here is that you made “blog” into a page, not a directory. make a directory named blog, not an .htm file.
