• Dear All,

I have read a lot about WordPress as a CMS, not necessarily as a Blog program. And since I am working on a new website I would like to ask if the following features are built-in or easy to implement on WordPress:

1- A Section for Support Tickets Page. Users send a support request, admins get their requests, and reply to them.

2- A Section where the site admins post Articles and Journals. No one is allowed to comment on them.

3- A Section where the site admins Post a monthly Topic that only registered users can reply to and post their comments.

4- A Home Page where the last 5 articles from the above mentioned sections is displayed.

How easy is having those features in WordPress?

    Thanks guys.

  • hello,

I currently use wordpress as a CMS and can answer a few of your inquiries.

1-Not exactly sure what you mean here

2-To turn off commenting on a post all you have to do is make sure the allow comment and pings check are unchecked when writing the post. (the boxes will be on the right)

3-If you have posts where comments are turned on, in the admin panel under the options tab theres a section marked Membership. There are 2 boxes there and the one says “Users must be registered and logged in to comment”

4-This might be of some help: Codex
