New to wordpress, cant edit welcome page.

    I am a bit confuse, I can edit every other page besides my main home page. I have deleted the default index.html file the webhost provided so wordpress could use index.php. This allowed me to create pages which worked with the theme but if I go back to the main greetings page without any URL extension, I still get the webhost index.html (under construction) page. How can I get the front page compatible with my theme?

    Oh figured it out, just had to clear the browser cache and I’m away ??

    Same here. Bit confuse with same reason.
    Anyone who could help us out?

    Did you read my second comment? Clear browser cache.
    This question could be interpreted in different ways. If that didnt work I think this may be your solution. Create a new page called “Home”. Go to Setting > Reading, Click a ‘Static Page’ Then under Front page link to ‘Home’ Page. If you want a blog role then create a new page, and put that in the Posts page section.
