New to WordPress

Ok, just downloaded and installed the script. Looks nice. Read through the forums about an issue I have and found multiple posts from 2004. Since we are in 2005 I hope some things changed.

Question is the following:
I would like to have new registered users have their own personal blog upon registration without installing more versions of the script. I read it was on the TODO list in 2004, I also read there were hacks out there.

Please can anyone give me the latest development update on this and also where I can find these hacks so I implement then.

Otherwise very nice script. I think that when its completely multi-user/blog it would wipe the others of the net.
