New to wordpress

Is this the forum I need to be at if I have a self hosted blog? I don’t have it up and going yet but hope to in 24 hrs or so. I’m a newbie and don’t know anything about blogs or setting up blogs if I have problems even with simple things is it Ok to ask for help? Thanks.
