• Hi, I’ve been a print designer all my life and after frustrating attempts to learn html and css put it aside for a while. Then I found WP. Question is, for a fully customized WP site (not one at WP.com) do I need to master html and css and even php? Let alone html5 and css3?
What is a good place to start?

  • It’s not absolutely necessary. Lots of people run WP sites without any coding, CSS or markup knowledge. That said, if you want to customise your site/theme, you will need some HTML, CSS & PHP skills but you do not have to start from scratch. You can use a free theme and start “tinkering” with it – learning along the way.
