  • Sorry, I see this is 9 months old, but let me try to answer this question none-the-less.

    By installing the theme, you will be effectively removing all the previous CSS styling and replacing it with the new theme CSS, and this will impact everything from font to color to the page layout of the default post template.

    My recommendation is to switch to a theme that makes your job as easy as possible when it comes to keeping with the general color scheme and has google fonts bundled in or some other font management plugin.

    The only exception to the above is if you are already using custom CSS with a child theme to modify your theme’s color and font, and in this case, you would need to convert the CSS to a new child theme that matches the new theme you are installing (this is most likely not your case).
