• Thought I should share my first attempt at customizing a WP theme. It is based on the ‘flex’ theme. I made a bunch of css changes, bundled a few plugins, added asides, and created a WP-admin options screen.

Let me know what you all think!

  • I don’t use (or like) most of those plugins… but the theme options admin page is a fantastic idea ??

Just curious – what plugins do you like?

I am trying to keep the theme useful by including a few plugins, but I don’t want it to become bloated.

Yea, that admin screen really make customizing the asides layout nice. Thanks!

I have just updated my theme to include Mark Jaquith’s inline ajax comments code.

    Check it out: tonus 1.3

    Comments and suggestions welcomed!

    I like your theme.
Currently beneath every post there are two links. One says “X comment” and the other one is “show comment ? “.
Instead it will be better if they are
“View comments(X)” where X is no of comments and “Post a comment”.
    and “Show comment”.
When I show comment the comments are shown and beneath it there is a link to “Add a comment” .If possible make it such that when we click the “Add a comment” link, instead of opening a new page, the comment posting box shows up in the same page (using Ajax).
I don’t know if these things are possible or not, but it will be great if they can be achieved.
