  • Ever since I got my little Zire72 I’ve been working towards more accessible sites. Even if it’s as little as source-ordering the content above the sidebars, it’s still good. Ideally, of course, there’s a seperate stylesheet for non-desktop browsers, but I can’t expect everyone to do that. Hell, I haven’t done that yet either (my current project will, however, be fully PDA accessible – both site and blog).

    I still haven’t managed to get a copy of Zeldman’s book ??

I tried to download the Rin Tin Tin theme from your site, thinking that it might help me to unravel the problem that I’m having modifying the 3-col Trident WordPress theme. Everytime I try to unzip the archive with your theme, I get a message that it’s not a valid archive. Maybe I need to finally buy Winzip–the evaluation program doesn’t seem to want to work. The zipped archive files (I downloaded the two versions) are 155KB each. Any suggestions?

It is zipped with gzip on UNIX. My evaluation copy of winzip opens it, but the file inside is a tar file so you will have to use winzip again to open that file as well.

In UNIX use gunzip and then tar xvf filename

Awesome theme! Looking forward to working with this one. (not too worried about the PDA- thing. I use a BlackBerry ?? )

This is a great looking theme. My only complaint about Rin is that the sidebars don’t show up on every page. I think that Rin Tin Tin should do that out of the box.

I have a problem with original Rin Theme.
Perhaps khaled could help me …

    After I login design crashes:
    1)footer goes under sidebar;
    https://elektrowave.org/broken_footer.gif
2)boxes like ‘pages’, ‘categories’, etc are aligned strangely.
    https://elektrowave.org/boxes.gif

Those things appear only in Opera Browser
(Version 8.51 Build 7712 Windows XP)

I’ve tried original template without modifications… same problem…

However it looks fine IE or Firefox.

And your best and most obvious bet would be to contact khaled as macmanx so rightfully pointed out.

With the latest version of WP just being released much of the volunteer work done at the moment is centered on helping those that have problems with the upgrade.

Thanks Marc! I’ll submit my report to Rin Support Forums.

anyone tried rin on wp2 ?

I’m playing around with it now:

Anybody else using this theme? I made some mods that work better for me, like adding comments to pages, making pages single column, changing comment fields, etc. I’d like to see what others are doing who use this theme. I’ve really enjoyed working with it.
