New theme not installing on blog

    I have had my blog running for over two months, and recently upgraded to wordpress 2.9. I wanted to change my theme to heatmap, but nothing shows (blank screan) when I press preview, and also when I activated the theme.
    The same happens when I try to activate certain complicated themes but not the standard wordpress themes. Would you know what causes this
