New Theme Name Error

  • I have edited several themese, and I always get the same error. When I select the theme from the Admin>Presentation>Themes menu, it does not show me the theme name, but the entire contents of the style.css file. I have even simply changed the name of some themes and not touched anything else, and the same happens. I see some other themes have the same problem.

    Can anyone help with this? If you don’t understand what I’m referring to, you can see a screenshot here: https://www.centr.co.uk/theme_view.jpg.

    Also, how does one connect the theme screenshot with the theme name?

  • There might be a problem with your editor (the one used to edit those CSS files). I remember similar problems where the editor added different line breaks than expected… or something like that.

    For screenshot – just check the themes that have it: there should be a screenshot.png file in the theme directory (don’t remember the size)
