new theme install but not showing up

  • since i do not want to use the default theme i downloaded one from the many that are available. i installed it to the wp-content/themes directory. in the admin i saw a dropdown to select the theme you want and i selected the new one that was now in the list but it is not showing up, the default is. what’s wrong?
