New Theme: ‘hampsha’

As far as both the themes are concerned, Hampsha and the Css Zen garden, they seem to waste a lot of space on either side of the border. It seems to make the page unnecessarily long if you type large posts.

Css Zen Garden’s design is not wasting space. It is designed for both 800*600 resolution as well as 1024*768 resolution. The layout is still viewable under smaller screen resolution without ugly horizontal scrollbars.

The design dun waste screen space as it is build to be scalable.

This is something which alot webmasters and designers forgot to do. They assume that people is n longer using 800*600 resolution any more. This is wrong.

Moreover, space allows the viewers’ eyes to be able to “rest” and not overload by text information as blog are usually text intensive.

However, I agree that the blog could be shorter and if needed, span across a few pages. This is the down-side of blog, I guess. ??

I disagree, I guess it comes down to what is meant by contact. An e-mail that could have been deleted as spam. I think decent means of contacting is necessary. People do go on vacation so Method may not get an instant reply.

I have re-released the theme with new documentation (the Readme file).

dawg: there is no contact information on CSS Zen Garden about the author. The link on her name just links back to the theme. I have tried searching for her site (with the assumption she is a web/graphic designer) and have not turned up anything.

danielck: designers dont forget that people still use 800×600, just some choose not to design for it.

Yngwin, method didn’t use (copy/steal) the artist’s image. So your complaint is?

I just tried to contact the author at an email address someone found for me on a cached page somewhere. I don’t know if it is her email but I’ll see when I get a responce.
