New theme files in 2.5 question

  • My old (wp 2.2) theme didn’t have archives.php, comments-popup.php, and image.php. What are these for and what else do I need to do to make sure the old files are compatible (I only added the tags part)?

  • I don’t know about the others, but the image.php file is used to display gallery images, like this one at Matt’s blog: https://ma.tt/2008/03/19-gallery/mat_3236/

    Ok, guess I might have to add image.php if I’m using galleries. The classic theme doesn’t have the other two so I probably won’t need it.

    Are there any other specific things that need to be changed to make sure it is compatible?
