New team member pages not created

    We’ve been having trouble with this plugin after we initiated a plugin update yesterday. We’re finding that we can create the content for our teams, the shortcode generates the right gear on our site page, but none of the pages generated by the plugin for the individuals work, they all come up with 404 errors. I then manually created pages in WP in case it was a permissions thing to see if the plugin would then write to the page, but no luck there with resolving it.

    As I thought something may have happened with the upgrade I’ve tried to manually wipe out any old entries in the MySQL after uninstalling the plugin and it didn’t resolve the issue. My guess is that something has corrupted at some stage, but I’m unsure what. Other plugins can create pages and we can still create posts and pages through WordPress.

    Any ideas on what we can do to troubleshoot? Prior to posting this I’ve gone in and removed all the entries I could find in the database after deactivating and uninstalling the plugin and wanted to check here before re-installing it again. I used keywords “smartcat”, “team” and “member” as part of my searching to take out as much as I could for reference and left any entries that looked unrelated to this plugin.

    Hi there

    This sounds like a caching issue.

    try the following:

    1. Reset permalinks: Go to the permalinks settings page and just hit Save/Update without changing anything. If this doesn’t fix it, odds are you have a cache plugin installed.

    2. If you have a cache plugin installed, reset/delete the cache

    Wow, thanks for the super-fast reply!

    I followed your feedback by resetting the permalinks and uninstalled W3 cache (it wasn’t activated but I thought I’d do it just in case) and also unchecked the option under Yoast’s SEO plugin to remove stop words from permalinks. Unsure which did it, but it’s all fixed, thanks!!
