new tag/window

  • I have been setting up many RSS feeds on my site using the RSS widget, but I can’t find a way to make the items open in a new window/tab. Is there a way to make the RSS items open in a new window/tab like I can do with all of the other links on my site?

  • All you need to do is add the below text to the link code:

    target=”_blank”

    Doesn’t that mean that I will have to constantly be editing links as new items appear in the feeds?

    The items that appear in the feeds are blog post. For every link you create in a blog post, you should specify if it should open in a new page or not. If you are using the visual editor, it is just a check box option when creating the new link.

    I don’t create the link items in the feeds, they come from the feed source. They are not posts. They are created using the RSS widget. Doesn’t anyone else use RSS feeds on their site?
