    We have WP Store Locator 2.2.7 installed. The store locator is great and has been working so well for a while. But this month it stopped showing any of the recent locations we are adding. They are definitely published in the Store Locator database, but will not show up on the front end. The host is Siteground. I checked for any cache plugins and there were none active. There was a Varnish plugin installed by inactive, and not in use. We tried to use the Store Locator settings for clearing transient cache, not change. Everytime I search on the site for one of the 3 recent zip codes added, those locations never come up in the search results at all. What else should we check?

    If you open one of the recent locations in the admin area, do the lat / lng fields contain values? And the map preview on the right shows the marker in the correct location as well?

    If you don’t search for a zipcode, but for the street name + city, does it then show up?

    Searching just on a zip code isn’t always a good idea since the zipcode you search for can exist multiple times around the world, and Google sometimes picks the one in the wrong country.

    You can easily check if this is the problem by setting the map region to the country the locations are located in, and check the checkbox that shows up after selecting a country. You can do this on the settings page in the map section.

    Thank you for pointing me to this. I discovered the issue was because the map was not fully generated. After going to edit each location, clicking Preview under the map feature, it then filled in the long/lat and I updated the entry. After that, it came up in search properly.
