• Hello,

I installed this for my personal multi-site installations at edwinli.com.

My main active site right now is https://edwinli.com/ux/.

I tried to use MultiSite Clone Duplicator to clone that site into a dev site on the same server, so, https://ediwnli.com/ux-dev01/, did my changes there, then cloned it to a new site at https://edwinli.com/ux-test01/.

In that cloning, everything seemed to go well. I was ready for the URLs for pictures and stuff that I’d included (via WordPress) in my blog articles and what not, and especially the URLS entered into the Nirvana theme’s sliders (e.g., https://edwinli.com/ux-dev01/portfolio/pandora-driving-mode/ ) to need to be hand changed to https://edwinli.com/ux-test01/portfolio/pandora-driving-mode/.

To my very pleased surprise, those slider URLs seemed to change on the new cloning to /test-01, as did all the picture URLs in most of the rest of the site.

Ecstatic, especially after poking around on the test site and finding no flaws, I went ahead (after cloning /ux to a backup site) and deleted /ux, then cloned /ux-dev01 straight to a new site at /ux, expecting thus to launch my redesigned website pretty painlessly.

But this time, it seems as if almost none, if any, of the URLs got re-written! Most of the interpage links and the references to embedded pictures still refer to /ux-dev01/… rather than the new site’s /ux/…

I’m pretty sure I did all the cloning/duplicating with both the “Files” and “Users and Roles” checkboxes checked.

It seems like most of those URLs should be successfully re-written, as far as the name of Cloning or Duplicating would suggest…

…but even more strange, though, is why it would seem to work that way when I cloned /ux-dev01 to /ux-test01, but not to work that way when I cloned /ux-dev01 to /ux.

Assuming that it should work as I thought it should, anyone have any ideas for how I can ensure that it would work right if I tried it again?

Just to clarify, while edwinli.com/ux is the main site on which I’ve done any work, my multisite installation’s “primary” site is edwinli.com/.

Could you test again with last release ? (1.3.2)

I think it should solve your problem.

    Best regards,

    Hello Pierre,

    I also have this issue.

Links and buttons within the new cloned site still link back to the old site. Any ideas how I can overwrite all links in the new site?
