    Hi,

Every time I add new products to my woocommerce shop a new set is created on Facebook/Commerce Manager/Catalog/Sets with the same set name but with the new products count, so there are many sets accumulating in that list with the same set name but different products count.

That list of sets keeps growing and even though it seems not to affect Facebook’s account at least until now with a couple of hundreds of sets (I have only 5 categories on my WC), the problem is that Facebook’s shop collections (the categories on facebooks shop frontside) are selected from those sets, and since it’s not the same set (cause a new one was created with my newly added products), I have to delete Facebook shop’s collections and recreate them choosing the new set or sets everytime I add new products to Woocommerce.

Each of my products are assigned to a category and each category is assigned to a FB Product Set on the plugin’s Facebook Product Sets page.

If I try to edit the contents of the set on Facebook I get “This collection was created in a partner platform and must be edited there.”

Is there a way to fix this problem and stop the ongoing creation of new Sets on FB everytime I add new products on WC?

    Thank you!

  • Hi @egocefalo!

    Thanks for contacting WooCommerce.com support!

That sounds frustrating! I wouldn’t want all those lists of sets either so let’s get this sorted out!

Will you try deleting all the sets from both WooCommerce and Facebook and re-syncing? You can trigger a product sync manually by going to Marketing > Facebook > Product Sync tab by clicking the Sync products button. Here is the document that describes that process

Let us know if that changes anything after you add a new product!

    Hi @madisoncm

I did as you said, and the fresh sets were created on facebook, then I added a new product on woocommerce, it appeared on facebook’s all products when searched but it didn’t on its corresponding set, so the product wasn’t added to the set but the set wasn’t duplicated either.

So in resume, at least on this first test the set wasn’t duplicated but now the new product wasn’t added to the set.

I was able to add it to the set directly on facebook which is good but it’s not the point, since it has to be done automatically, meaning there’s still something wrong.

I’ll add more products later and come back and update this information in case I get different results.

    Thanks for your help!

    Best regards,

    Hi @madisoncm

I added more products and this time the sets were duplicated and the new products weren’t added to any of the sets (previous or duplicates).

So it looks like it got worst, since before the new duplicated set had the new product/s in it.

    Best regards,
