New set of categories

  • Is there an easy way to add another set of categories? I’m using WP as a photoblog and would like to separate my personal work from commercial into two different set of categories but it seems there’s no way of doing so via admin interface (and I’m not a programmer to hack the code myself).

    I’m using a “letterhead” theme if this is of any help at all…

  • Could you have ‘Work’ and ‘Personal’ as parent categories, then have sub-categories from them ?
    If you did, then effectively you would have 2 main cats, and using the right template tag you should be able to display and style them differently if you wanted to.

    I tried that. The categories and sub-categories are displayed in one list. What I would like to achieve though is to have 2 categories displaying its sub-categories in 2 different lists. Like this:

    Category 1

    • sub-category 1
    • sub-category 2
    • sub-category 3

    Category 2

    • sub-category 1
    • sub-category 2
    • sub-category 3

    Is this possible?
