new roles not showing all dashboard items

    basicly the role i have created is just a copy of the administrator without a couple of menus hidden and the delete functions removed i dont understand how this stops the plugin (yoast) tab from even appearing.

    Hi leew87,

    WordPress is a tricky thing. As a hack, create a custom capability “administrator” and you should be good to go.

    Also make sure that this capability is checked for your custom role.

    i have now managerd to resolve it seems that the yoast plugin requires the manage_options capabilities
