New Role Change author

Hi

I’ve created a new role “Page editor” and have given them the ability to create and edit pages (only their own for now). I’ve set up a new user with the Page editor role but when I go to a page and try to change the author they are not listed, if I change them to an Editor or administrator then they show up. Is there something I need to do or change?
