I think i might have asked this before but amazon will be suppressing listings without a proper colourmap set up

I have created an attribute called color_map and filled with the values from the valid values worksheet. There is a colourmap field that can be filled in with the valid values or use an attribute

The problem, is the fact that the profile is set for many t-shirts with many colour variations. Obviously our colours do not match the Amazon valid values color_map colours so what do we do here?

Its like there needs to be a connection between the color-map attribute and the t-Shirt colour attribute. As there is no way Amazon can guess what colour t-shirt is associated with what colour map colour. So when we upload listing feeds, the resultant products and variations do not have a colour_map colour and will therefore be suppressed soon

The size map works as our listings have exactly the same size attributes as the Amazon size map so they are picked up

Its like there needs to be new field in the profiles where one can associate the colours of our products with Amazon color_map valid values.

I think there is around 14 Amazon valid values so the profile would need 14 new drop-downs that on one side that load our colours and then on the right-hand side another where you can set the valid values

Ummmmmmm – what can we do? we dont want to do this one by one a Amazon

    Hello albertramsbottom.

All you need to do is click the magnifying glass next to the colour map field in the listing profile then click on the colour map product attribute you created. WP-Lister will then insert the proper shortcode to pull the color values that are selected in each variation into the feed that is submitted to Amazon.

    Kind regards,

I have done that, but it cannot work as how is it going to know, what colourmap to apply to my t-shirt colour? This is what i am saying, it cannot know that a burgundy t-shirt should have a colourmap of purple, or a t-shirt colour of olive has a colour map of green??/

I am i being thick here?

It would only work if my t-shirt colours had the same names as the valid values in the Amazon worksheet

    Cheers

    Whoops. Wrong thread… Sorry.

    Hello albertramsbottom.

So it sounds like we should implement a way to map specific attributes from WooCommerce to those values allowed in the color_map field – for example mapping the WooCommerce color “olive” to the Amazon color_map value “green”.

In the past, this apparently wasn’t required and therefor not that important in our eyes. But if you are right about Amazon starting to suppress listings without a proper color_map value, then we should look into adding such a map somewhere in WP-Lister’s settings, similar to the existing options to merge attributes etc.

We are only aware of the two fields color_map and size_map though. Maybe there are others, but for the moment it should be sufficient if we’d add some mapping feature for these two fields specifically. This could work automatically once set up: When WP-Lister generates a feed and is about to fill in the color_map column, it should check if there is any value for the normal “color” column already (like “olive”), and if there is then try to find that value in the mapping list and insert the matching value (like “green”) into the color_map column.

Does that sound like a sufficient solution to you?

If it does, you should submit a ticket: Support Form with your admin login credentials, dashboard URL, a link to this forum thread, and a sample listing we can use to test this.

    Kind regards,
    John

Yeap will do, I am having issues accessing my feed page at the moment so have complained to my host. I also have the new requirements for Amazon for the EU, so will try to get it to you via a link

I think its only the colourmap and size map that will be an issue

As soon as my site is working again I will post this in support

    Cheers
