    Hi there,

I had a new registered user to my website today (for which I have their IP address) but I can’t see their IP address anywhere in the stats and they are not coming up as known user?

Under Settings > General – I have Activate Tracking set to YES.
And Javascript Mode set to YES (as I use WP Super Cache).
Under Settings > Filter – I have Track Users set to YES.

Any reason why this new user is not being picked up in the stats?

    Thanks!

Also, I did a new registration for myself and this seems to show up in the stats.

Can people hide their IP address from showing up on SlimStat??

    Hi GSJ,

well, he might have been using a proxy server. Can you check if the IP is listed as ‘Originating IP’ somewhere?

Yeah maybe that’s it, I can’t find any data re. the ‘originating IP’? Not sure where to find that, but not showing up on his User page information.

Look inside the help tab ??

In the RIght Now section there are some IPs listed with their ‘originating IP’.

When I search for this particular IP in here it doesn’t appear, whether I filter it under ‘IP’ or ‘originating IP’.

I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue on our dev site. What’s the IP? Is it an IPv6 number?

    Thread Starter GSJ

    (@gsj)

    The IP is 110.146.132.254

Not sure what IPv6 is though?

    (@coolmann)

No, it’s not IPv6. Again, I just tested this functionality on our dev site and everything works as expected.

Ok no worries that’s fine, will let you know if it happens again!

    Marking as resolved.

I keep getting emails that people have registered but they are not showing up in my registered users stat box. Why is that?

thigh828, could you please provide a little more info? My crystal ball is being repaired after I dropped it on Thanksgiving ??

    – URL
    – WP version
    – SlimStat version
    – WebServer type (IIS/Apache)
    – Other plugins used

    Best,
    Camu

haha that made me laugh, ok sorry. I am running WP version 1.4.19, jetpack 2.6.1 url is https://blogbye.com and honestly i don;t know the answers to the rest. I will get an email notification that someone is a new user registrant and it will show their name and email but on my registered users page under stats, this name doesn’t appear. Here’s a copy of the email:

SlimStat doesn’t seem to be currently enabled on this site.

I later found that for me this issue was due to registered users not activating their registrations properly.

For example it is possible to be logged in before activating the activation email, if straight after registering the user just keeps browsing your site – in this instance none of the users views show up on SlimStat.

And once activated (eg. if you manually activate them) if they do not use your website while registered/logged in they may not show up on the stats either.
