• Hello, I have created a new checkbox field on the registration form and used that same field to create a new displayed field on the profile form. We have chosen both on the registration form and the profile form for the field to be “viewed everywhere.” When we go in to edit a user to choose options in the new checkbox field, the choices don’t display on their profile. When we go in to edit again it comes up with no choices checked. So the choices don’t stay when edited and the field won’t display on the profile. Is this because we didn’t start with that field? Or is it because other users haven’t checked anything? Here’s a video reproducing the problem. We’ve tried as admin use and also logged in as the user.

    Try to set Maximum number of selections to 1 for both fields in the UM Forms Designer.

    @missveronicatv Thanks, that didn’t work. Also, I can’t do a maximum of 1 answer because the reason we changed it to checkbox instead of dropdown is because we need them to be able to have more than one answer.

    In the screen video you had set Maximum number of selections to 0.

    Set Maximum number of selections to the maximum number of selections you allow.

    @missveronicatv Yes, that’s what I did and it didn’t solve the issue. I changed it to 4.

    Could you please try clearing the user cache and see if the checkbox will show the selected options? Please go to WP Admin > Ultimate Member > Dashboard > see “User Cache”. Click on the button “Clear cache of X users”.

    @ultimatemembersupport I have done this and it didn’t work. The field won’t populate when we edit the user from their profile as instructed in your support document. Then the field doesn’t show up on the profile, even though we set up the form (both registration and Profile form) as view everywhere. Why doesn’t the field show up? Why won’t the edits stay? There is no cache plugin being used on the site and I’ve cleared the user cache in the UM dashboard.
