    hi,
I recently discovered that if you make a new product by duplicating an old one (which has nothing to do with it, just to remember the main themes not to forget) with a completely different name, an image unrelated to the duplicate, google displays in the search “news” the date of the product that is at the origin of the duplicate.

is it possible to correct this problem?
    thank you

    Hi,

I’m not sure to understand your issue.

Can you share the URL of your product and the URL of the duplicated product?

And any screenshots / informations to help us.

    Thanks

    hi,
    Let’s start again:
in woo you can duplicate products. I use it when I have a new product to publish. So I duplicate an old product that has the advantage of having: the same category, a few identical keywords.
So I have an already formatted structure
In the new product I make one (or more) new photos, add keywords and/or remove some precedents, make a title that has nothing to do with the previous one since the product is new, invent a description of the new product.

However things remain fixed that I repeat for each product: the methods of payment, the shipping methods.

But I don’t have an example to offer you, because once the new product is made I totally forget which product I duplicated it after!

I can just propose you a link on a product where google “makes a mistake”.
https://www.artisanathai.com/produit/plateau-vert-brillant-carre/ published on 2/01/19, dated by Google on 19/11/15.
    thanks

However, I remember something else, and maybe it’s finally me that’s confusing:
I also sometimes refresh some old products by renaming them better, make new photos by destroying the “old” ones that I consider bad (format, aspect, presentation, lighting, etc).
and there again I review absolutely everything: description, title, keywords, sometimes even changing categories,

in this case Google would not make a mistake since it would take back the date of the 1st publication!

and therefore the misinterpretation would come from me: believing to “deceive” google in vain

    OK I understand the issue.
When you duplicate a product, the publication date doesn’t change which is normal.
The problem is that we use this date in some metadata.
I’m not sure if there is a way to solve this, there is only 1 publication date and 1 update date (used too in some metadata)….

Maybe, you can try to unpublish your product, then publish it again to a new date, it might work.

    Thanks,
“quel boulot !” and I don’t know which product I’ve duplicated, it’s only by referring to google news that I can know!
I’m going to collect them there! (how i can !)
now i will only copy paste.

    résolu.
