I have been trying the New Press This. I use Chrome among other browsers. In Chrome Press This had an issue, it did not work. It tried to appear but failed multiple times over a half a day trying it out. On Firefox, it worked fine.

On both Chrome and Firefox I have the “do not allow pop-ups checked”.

    I use 64k Windows 7

I like some of the new features of Press This, but it should include the ability to put featured image on the post as well.

    Thanks…

    Hi,

I’m thinking you might have a cached version of PressThis on your chrome if you use this normally.

As for the featured image bit, this is already possible, in your lower left corner there’s a media button, click it and you get the option to add media as well as define a featured image.

Thanks, I have had the Press This before 4.2 came out. Now removing the cached version of PressThis…Thanks for the reply I saw the media button…

I have emptied the cached before I posted this, fact is; it is emptied regularly. Yet I emptied it and the PressThis still won’t work on Chrome. I was able to use it on firefox.

    Not that I like Chrome…
need a good browser..used Firefox but even that has had troubles for the past few years.

    Hi,

Could you describe what kind of problem you were having with the Press This, if it’s not juts a cached copy of the old one being the issue I’d like to hear what is actually happening when you try to use it, is it an error showing up, or dies it just not open at all for example?

When I click on it, there is a quick flash but no pop up of Press This appears. That is for Chrome. In firefox when I click, it simply comes up.
No, it is not the cache…

That is indeed strange, does the same happen if you use incognito mode in Chrome (alternatively make sure no extensions are enabled and see if it still behaves strangely) ?

I will just use firefox and go from there. Too much garbage to get around with chrome, I just fired up firefox with plugins and all and it works fine. I would uninstall chrome, but that is a waste of my time. I have many other things to do. However, It will work itself out; they usually do. It is strange.

Thanks for the help and ideas…

Again, here I am; just took a second, maybe I just don’t like to lose one; but I found the trouble. It was a plugin that I never knew I had. A very long time ago I used a plugin “Do Not Disturb”. Well it does it job, too well. There it was…

So I removed it, surprised to even see it there.

“Do Not Disturb” plugin was causing the issue…

    again thanks..

I disabled all my plugins and extensions in Firefox and Chrome but I simply cannot get Press This to work, ever.

Are you blocking Pop-ups, Press this is a pop-up… Also try emptying history, cache…

To test Press This I cleared Chrome’s and Firefox’s plugins, history, cookies, cache and allowed pop-ups. Still not working. I will try some support from my template publisher. I have a hunch it might have something to do with my template. Thanks.
