New posts’ publish date shows as 1 Jan. 1970

  • New posts in the news section are shown as they were published in 1 Jan. 1970, so they appear in the bottom of the list and people miss them. In WordPress view, however, the publish date is normal. The plugin i’m using for this is “Custom Post Type UI”.
    Changing the timezone doesn’t solve the problem.

    What may be causing this? and how can I fix it?

  • – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).

    If you don’t want to manually deactivate all your plugins, you can try troubleshooting with the Health Check Plugin
    In troubleshooting mode, it temporarily resets your dashboard to look like new, with all your plugins deactivated. You can then easily go through them, one by one, to see if any are causing the problem.
