• HELP! Every time I make a new post it no longer appears in my homepage. This is my address https://www.felixblog.co.nz.
Whenever I put in the URL it goes to https://felixblog.co.nz/going-back-in-time/ going-back-in-time is a post I made on 25th May and every new post shows up on it’s category page but not the homepage.
I have tried changing categories and looked at several different posts in the forum here and nothing is working.
I am fairly new to all this PHP stuff so please if you can help try to think you are talking to a four year old so I can understand.
    Any help is much appreciated.

    Shaun

  • ok…. its been happening for over a year though lol. They never get placed up… its incredibly annoying as I never am able to get any support

I can see how it would be frustrating! I’ve changed a setting in your profile so it hopefully won’t happen again. ??

sigh issue resolved i found the bit of code in a plugin that was screwing with it. you would think that a paid plugin would have a bit more sense to it. I cant believe i spent so much freaking time on this I am gonna cuss this author out for sure lol

The problem with latest posts not showing up (just the title, none of the text) began for me with an upgrade to IE9. When I post using lesser IE versions, it seems to be better. There is still some latency when switching between html view and visual view regardless of the version I use. I cleared all cache and temp files. Did not make a difference. I am not cutting and pasting from Word when I post. I type directly in the window. The word counter does not increase. When I save the post, only the title is there. Is there a new version of something that I need?

Upon further testing, it seems the only way I can get either an update to an existing post or a new post to show on my blog it so use the HTML tab as the editor. Anything typed there seems to be fine. If I use the Visual tab, nothing is saved. I’ve posted my experience over the last two days on my site. You can read about my experiments there.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

amking1964 – there is a known conflict between the TinyMCE visual editor and IE9. Apparently it’s been fixed in the latest version of TinyMCE, but I think WP must ship with an older version. Until then, can you use a different browser that doesn’t have an issue with the visual editor, such as Firefox or Safari or Chrome?

I will try to find the reference I sent someone else earlier.

@zoonini – thanks for the information. I have opened a ticket with blog.com to ask when/if an upgrade might be coming. I can use IE8 without any problems, but will have to reinstall it on the home equipment. Will try Safari as well. Appreciate you getting back to me. – AMK
